Bart Bowlin, Pastor
Bart holds a BA from the University of North Alabama and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Seminary. Bart has been a pastor in the North Alabama Conference since 1991. As a participant and mentor in the Institute for Clergy Excellence, Bart has traveled to Israel, Jordan, Scotland, Hawaii, and several US locations for study purposes.
Bart is married to Liz. Together, they have five children and a foster son. In his spare time, Bart enjoys boating and Bama football. Roll Tide!

Drew Mills, Choir Director
Drew is a native of Tuscumbia, having returned to the area in 2019 after living and working in Boston.
While in Boston, he taught high school choir for Billerica Public Schools, served as an assistant conductor for the Gordon College Children’s Choir and an instructor for the Gordon College Secondary Music Methods course.
Drew teaches choir at Florence Middle School and is Music Director for SummerStock at the Ritz in Sheffield. Drew is an active composer, writing for ensembles of all types. His wife Suzanne is a performer, Artistic Director for SummerStock at the Ritz, and is on the music faculty at UNA.
Drew and Suzanne have a young son named Jesse and a four-legged friend named Salem.

Jordan Platt, Director of Children’s Ministry
Jordan has been with Sheffield Methodist since 2023. Along with being our Director of Children’s Ministry, she also serves as our Children’s Church teacher. Before becoming Director in August 2025, she served as one of our nursery teachers as well as our Preschool Sunday School teacher. Jordan graduated from the University of North Alabama in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys teaching young children about God and watching them grow in their walk with Him.

Justin Miller, Youth Director
Justin was born and raised in Florence, Alabama. He grew up playing music and served as worship leader at First United Methodist Church in Florence and also First Methodist in Athens. He and his wife, Brittney, have been married for nine years. They have two little girls, Madison and Emmy Kate. The family loves the beach and Alabama Football!

Shane Baker, Worship Leader
Shane and The Edge Praise Band lead us into a high energy, spirit-filled worship experience. Shane is a noted musician and song writer from our area, playing with many notable artists, including Lenny LeBlanc. Shane’s heart is for worship that exalts our God first and foremost for who He is. He sees worship as the gateway into God’s presence on earth, and a prelude to worship in heaven.

Morgan Dodson, Nursery Coordinator
Morgan has been with Sheffield Methodist since 2022. She serves as one of our nursery teachers. As of August 2024 she has become the Nursery Coordinator at Sheffield Methodist. She enjoys laughing with and loving on every child who walks through the nursery door!
